Margaret Chalwe Mudenda

Margaret Chalwe-Mudenda is an experienced corporate executive and a lawyer by profession with over 20 years of experience. She is trained in investment and brokers advisory services, as well as having experience as a legal counsel in the banking sector.

The trained lawyer has vast experience, having served in several high position capacities in some of the most demanding sectors during her career both in the private and public sectors, including a seven-year term as Director General at Zambia Information Communication Technology Authority (ZICTA).

Under her tenure at ZICTA, she championed and launched the Connecting Learning Institutions Project, which has been providing electronic communication systems including computer laboratories as well as optic fibre networks to public universities, colleges, and secondary schools, thus promoting e-learning and creating a platform for e-government services.

She has also served on several boards at both national and international levels. She has a Bachelor of Laws degree, a postgraduate diploma in legislative drafting, and a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Law.
